Four movements from Jocelyn’s oratorio, amass, have recently been excerpted and rearranged for choir, STB soloists, and piano. This new work, entitled “Facets” from amass, will be paired with the four-hand piano version of the Brahms Requiem. Pianist Arlene Shrut, soprano Alissa Deeter and Jocelyn have designed this concert of music to include a script and an updated English translation of the Brahms libretto.
This concert will be premiered by Sine Nomine and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Concert Choir on March 17, 2017, and the Converse College Chorale in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on April 16, 2018. This project is funded, in part, by The Sorel Organization.
